A genuine copper water bottle has no lining or coating on the inside. It is bare, uncoated copper, because the copper needs to be in direct contact with the water for the benefits to work. CopperWater.com bottles are pure copper on the inside with nothing between the copper and your water. Any bottle with a lining inside is not a true copper vessel.
Why the inside must be uncoated
The whole point of a copper vessel is that copper interacts directly with the water it holds. A lining or coating would block that contact entirely, meaning the bottle would give you nothing a normal steel bottle does not. So a real Ayurvedic copper bottle is always bare copper inside.
A note about the outside
While the inside is always left bare, CopperWater applies a light natural protective coating to the outside only, to help the bottle stay shiny longer. This coating is never on the inside, so the water always comes into direct contact with pure copper.
